Dark Souls REMASTERED: All Pyromancies

This guide will show you the location of all Pyromancies for Bond of a Pyromancer trophy in Dark Souls Remastered.

There are 19 pyromancies in total.

To unlock it, you must acquire all 19 base game pyromancies on a single character. The DLC pyromancy Black Flame is not required. Unlike sorceries and miracles, pyromancies have no stat requirements to use, only needing a Pyromancy Flame equipped in either hand. The Pyromancy Flame itself can be obtained by starting as a Pyromancer class, by rescuing Laurentius of the Great Swamp from the Depths, or from Eingyi after gaining his trust.

Laurentius of the Great Swamp

Combustion, Fireball, Iron Flesh, Flash Sweat and Fire Orb.

Laurentius is found trapped inside a barrel in the Depths. From the entrance of the area, make your way past the Hollow enemies, go through the flooded section, and stay left to find a room full of barrels. Use the roll action to break the barrels and free him without causing damage, as hitting him will turn him hostile. After being freed, he relocates to Firelink Shrine, where he stands near the bonfire. Speak to him there and when he asks if you find pyromancy unsavoury, answer no. He will then give you a free Pyromancy Flame if you do not already have one and open his shop.

From Laurentius you can purchase Combustion (500 souls), Fireball (800 souls), Iron Flesh (2,000 souls), Flash Sweat (2,000 souls), and Fire Orb (8,000 souls). He can also upgrade your Pyromancy Flame up to +15, and upgrading it to at least +10 is required before Quelana of Izalith will sell to you. Reaching +10 costs approximately 53,500 souls in total upgrade fees.

Quelana of Izalith

Great Combustion, Fire Whip, Undead Rapport, Great Fireball, Firestorm and Fire Tempest

Quelana is the most powerful pyromancy vendor in the game and will only appear to those who have upgraded their Pyromancy Flame to +10 or higher. She is found in Blighttown, standing behind one of the large pillars in the swamp area, past the Quelaag arena. With the required flame level, approach the pillars and she will become visible. Speak with her to access her shop.

From Quelana you can purchase Great Combustion (5,000 souls), Fire Whip (10,000 souls), Undead Rapport (10,000 souls), Great Fireball (20,000 souls), and Firestorm (30,000 souls). The sixth and final pyromancy from Quelana is Fire Tempest, which she gifts to you after you defeat the Bed of Chaos boss in Lost Izalith.

Eingyi

Poison Mist and Toxic Mist

Eingyi is an Egg-carrier NPC found behind an illusory wall in the area just past the Quelaag boss fog gate in Blighttown. After defeating Quelaag, instead of using the bonfire lever to ring the bell, descend through the passage and strike the wall covered in eggs at the end of the path to reveal him. He will only sell pyromancies to a player who has been infected with an egg parasite on their head.

To get infected, travel to Demon Ruins and allow one of the Egg-carrier enemies to latch onto your head. The parasite will grow into a visible egg over time. With the egg on your head, return to Eingyi and he will open his shop, selling Poison Mist (10,000 souls) and Toxic Mist (25,000 souls). After purchasing both spells, you can buy Egg Vermifuge from him to cure the infection and return your character's appearance to normal. Note that Poison Mist can also be found as a free loot pickup on a corpse in the Blighttown swamp on the path toward the Great Hollow, so if you only need Toxic Mist from Eingyi that is the only reason to get infected.

World Loot

Power Within

Power Within is found in Blighttown, on the wooden platforms above the swamp. Make your way along the upper platforms and go as far right as possible before the descent to the swamp. You will encounter a wall-clinging Cragspider enemy on the edge of the platform. Defeat it using ranged attacks, firebombs, or pyromancies rather than melee, as close-range fighting on that ledge is very dangerous. Just past where the enemy was, you will find the Power Within pyromancy on a corpse at the very edge of the wooden ledge.

Acid Surge

Acid Surge is found in the Painted World of Ariamis. To access the Painted World, you need the Peculiar Doll item from your old cell in the Undead Asylum, then step into the large painting in Anor Londo. Progress through the area until you reach the Phalanx enemy and open the double doors nearby to access the bonfire. From the Phalanx area, head left into the snowy graveyard and continue as far left as possible. Behind a wall at the far end of the graveyard, you will find a corpse holding the Acid Surge pyromancy.

Fire Surge

Fire Surge is also found in the Painted World of Ariamis, in the underground tunnels beneath the same area. From the Phalanx, head right to find a well with a ladder leading down. At the bottom, navigate through the tunnels by going forward, then left, then left again, then left once more, then right, and finally up the staircase at the end. At the top of those stairs, you will encounter an Engorged Zombie. Kill it to loot the Fire Surge pyromancy from its body.

Chaos Fire Whip

Chaos Fire Whip is found in Lost Izalith, in a chest near the end of the area. Proceed through Lost Izalith until you reach the fog gate of the Bed of Chaos boss. Instead of entering, continue around to the right and follow the path to its end, where you will find a chest containing Chaos Fire Whip.

Covenant Pyromancies

Great Chaos Fireball and Chaos Storm

Two pyromancies are obtained through the Chaos Servant covenant, led by the Daughter of Chaos. To join, defeat Quelaag in Blighttown, then descend through the passage past her arena and strike the egg-covered wall at the end to reveal Eingyi. Answer yes when he asks if you seek audience, and then speak with the Daughter of Chaos behind him to join the covenant. Upon joining you will immediately receive Great Chaos Fireball.

To receive Chaos Storm, you must reach rank 2 in the covenant by offering a total of 30 Humanity to the Daughter of Chaos.
